Guides
Build a mix‑and‑match bundle
1. Start a new bundle from a template 0:00
- In the app, click Create Bundle from the left-hand menu.
- Choose Start with a Template, then select Mix and Match to begin with the default bundle structure.
- The editor is designed to feel similar to the Shopify editor, so navigation should feel familiar.
2. Review the editor layout and bundle controls 0:14
- Use the top toolbar to switch between desktop and mobile views, preview, save, publish, and unpublish.
- By default, Mix and Match starts with three steps plus a Review step.
- The left panel contains Bundle Settings, Steps, and Add-ons; the center canvas updates in real time.
3. Configure the first step: Pre-workout 2:00
- Click the first step and rename it - e.g. Pre-workout.
- Choose a product source: Collection for grouped products, or Individual products for manual selection.
- Select your collection and confirm the products populate in real time.
4. Set the product grid layout for the step 3:07
- Adjust cards per row and card size from the settings.
- Desktop can show 2, 3, or 4 cards per row; mobile can be automatic, 1, or 2.
- Changing card size also changes how many products fit per row in automatic mode - use the live canvas to confirm.
5. Define selection rules and quantity limits 4:24
- Set Select Mode: Multi-select (one or more products) or Single select (exactly one).
- Leave the step required so customers must choose at least one item.
- Keep the quantity selector enabled so customers can add multiples of the same product.
- Set minimum and maximum quantity limits if needed (the demo uses min 1, max 3) - watch the notifier update in the canvas.
6. Use page limits and filters to improve browsing 7:38
- If the step has many products, set a page limit - e.g. load 3 products initially with a Load 3 More button.
- Optionally enable the vendor/brand filter so customers can sort by brand.
- Use the live preview to confirm the browsing experience feels clean.
7. Add helpful step-level guidance and media 13:12
- Use the info icon / tooltip fields to add a short title and description.
- Add a Learn More button with a longer message, and optionally attach a video link customers can watch inside the bundle.
- Add a banner image above the step for context or branding.
- These tools help answer customer questions and improve conversion.
8. Configure the second step 19:21
- Select the second step and rename it - the demo uses Intra workout.
- Choose Individual products to hand-pick specific items, and reorder them manually if you like.
- Decide whether the step is required or can be skipped, and adjust the quantity selector as needed.
9. Add a banner image to the second step 22:18
- Upload an image in Shopify's Files area, copy the file URL, and paste it into the step's banner image field.
- The image appears in the bundle builder immediately.
- Each step can have its own banner - banners are optional.
10. Configure the third step: Recovery 23:44
- Rename the third step - e.g. Recovery - and set the product source to Collection.
- Choose your collection so the products populate automatically.
- Decide whether this step should be required and confirm it displays correctly in the canvas.
11. Create an add-on popup to increase order value 24:36
- Go to Add-ons and click Add Popup.
- Name the popup and choose the trigger products - e.g. trigger when a customer adds products from the Pre-workout step.
- Select the suggested add-on products (the demo uses multivitamins).
- Add a title and supporting message, and optionally offer an additional discount on the add-on products.
12. Set bundle-wide settings and discount rules 26:34
- Go to Bundle Settings and give the bundle a name - e.g. Sports Performance.
- Choose where the bundle will appear on Shopify.
- Set the discount type: Percentage, Fixed amount, or Buy X, Get Y Free - the demo uses 10% off with a minimum of 3 products.
- Optionally enable smart cart detection so the discount applies even when products are added from elsewhere on the site.
13. Choose the bundle display style and cart settings 28:40
- Select the progress display style: Pills, Bar, or Tabs - the indicator updates as customers move through the steps.
- Set the cart property name for reporting.
- Decide whether to show the bundle on individual product pages, and whether product pages pre-select the viewed product.
14. Save, publish, and add the bundle to Shopify 30:14
- Click Save Changes, then Publish to make the bundle live, and copy the bundle ID.
- In the Shopify theme editor, add a new section under Apps, select Presto Bundles, and paste in the bundle ID.
- Save the Shopify page and refresh to confirm the bundle appears.
15. Test the live bundle experience 31:07
- Confirm the bundle displays correctly on the storefront.
- Test the info icon, Learn More popup, and video; verify Load More pagination works.
- Select different product variants and confirm the image updates in real time.
- Open View Details to see the side drawer with product information - including the mobile-friendly drawer behavior.
16. Complete the bundle and verify discount behavior 32:37
- Add products from each step and confirm the bundle discount unlocks once the minimum requirement is met.
- Use the Next and Back controls to adjust selections.
- Review the add-on popup, choose optional extras if desired, then click Add to Bundle and confirm the final cart summary and savings.
17. Update settings later if needed 34:46
- Return to the editor anytime to change step settings - the demo switches the variant picker style from dropdown to swatches.
- Save changes and refresh the storefront to see the update immediately.
18. Wrap-up and support 36:36
- The demo highlights how flexible the bundle builder is: step configuration, product selection, media and guidance, add-ons, and discounts.
- Reach out for help with app installation, first bundle setup, or onboarding - and share feedback or feature requests with the team.
